How to keep an advantage in the competition at corrugated package industry?

At present, the paper price and the labor cost of #carton factory are soaring, but customers' requirements for cartons are getting higher and higher, resulting in increasingly fierce competition in the carton industry. How to achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase through technological progress and improve the quality of cartons has become the key to victory.

How to keep an advantage in the competition at #corrugated #package industry?

To upgrade the production equipment and reduce the compression loss of paperboard in the production process and reducing the cost of paper have become a sharp weapon urgently needed in the market.

As we know that there is very important physical performance index at carton package, named ECT (Edge Crush Test).

The edge crush resistance is the key index for the carton to protect the product from damage during transportation. Edge crush is to apply pressure to the corrugated board sample in the vertical direction. The maximum force that the board can bear in the process of pressing is the edge crush resistance of the carton. The edge crush resistance is related to the transverse ring crush resistance of each layer of paper that constitutes the corrugated board, the corrugated type combination of the board, and the bonding strength and material of the board.

In the production process, the loss of edge crush resistance mainly comes from the pressure of cardboard stack height, the extrusion of paper feeding rubber roller, the stamping of printing plate and die-cutting. In order to achieve a qualified compression coefficient, producers generally need to improve the grade and grammage of paper to make up for their losses. However, this method will lead to high production costs, which is not conducive to market competition, especially when the paper price is high and tight supply.

Driven by the market, we #Master exclusively developed a #noncrushfeedingsystem, which has become a competitive highlight of brand machines and directly improved the economic benefits of customers. Take the data fed back by one of our customer as an example:

  • The compression strength of the cartons produced by the traditional #leadingedgefeeding type printer can be increased by 10%-15% after using the equipment of the non-crush feeding system.
  • If converted according to economic benefits, in order to achieve the same compression coefficient index, companies that use the non-crush feeding system can save 3 tons of fluting paper and 6 tons of liner paper in one month (taking the three-layer paperboard with a daily output of 100000 square meters as an example), directly saving 40000 RMB per month and increasing 480000 RMB profit in one year.

Eg.: to achieve the same coefficient index (3ply as an example)

At traditional feeding system: it is required 80 gsm of #flutingpaper, 110 gsm of liner paper.

At non-crush feeding system: it is required 70 gsm of fluting paper, 100 gsm of #linerpaper.

In response to the market demand, we have used the latest non-crush feeding system on the old machines of many customers through technical #innovation.

The characteristic of this system is that

1) the traditional paper feeding rubber roller transmission mode is canceled.

2) the upper and lower vacuum box transmission mode is adopted to ensure that the paperboard can be effectively dedusted and transferred from the leading edge paper feeding platform to the printing unit at high speed and stably without being squeezed by the paper feeding roller.
